Obituary for Ernest Oxford, Hardin County, Illinois Ernest Oxford, youngest son of the late J.H. Oxford ansd wife was born 14 Apr. 1884-died 14 Nov 1930. "Slick" as he was commonly called was generous, ambitious and big-hearted, always ready to help the other fellow and lots of times go out of his way to do so. He was a free giver for the cause of Christ, and a well wisher to His work. He provided well for his family, and to his children especially for their education. He was united in marriage to Nora Brownfield 31 aug. 1924. To this union were born 2 children, namely Eva and Adiel. He leaves to mourn his departure, a companion, the 2 children, 2 sisters, Mrs Nora Berwick of Texas, and Mrs. Phoebe Oxford of Mt. Zion, besides a host of relatives and friends.
