FRITTS Name of Newspaper: Unknown Date of Newspaper: Unknown Obituary: The subject of this sketch, John C. Fritts, was born in Rome County, Tennessee October 5, 1850. Died February 4, 1926 at the home of his daughter Mrs. George Septer at Mt. Vernon, Ind. He came to Hardin County when a young man and wooed and won the hand of Miss Bettie Ginger, daughter of D. V. Ginger, in marriage in 1871. Several children blessed this union. The surviving ones are - Mrs George Septer, Mt. Vernon, Ind., William Fritts of Parma, MO., George of Colombia, Ohio and Mrs Clyde Duvall of Indianapolis, Ind., he leaves one sister, Mrs. J. A. Clark, of Marion, KY. and one brother S. L. Fritts of Bernie, Missouri, besides several grandchildren to mourn his deaprture. On February 5 his remains were taken to Bernie, Missouri and there laid to rest by the side of his wife who preceded him a few years ago. Before he died he told his children he was ready to die and that he was going to a betterplace. The funeral services were conducted at the Little Union Church at Bernie by Rev. Williams after which all that was mortal of Bro. Fritts, was laid to rest. He was a brother-in-law of the writer they having married sisters and rode constable under the writer for 8 years and we will say to the bereaved ones that you cannot call your papa and mama back, but you can go to them, so make the necessary preparations to meet them.
