He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Ginger, well respected citizens of Hardin County Illinois, to whom were born a large family of children of them John and Louis are dead. The others, Andy, Joe, Mrs. Mollie Spivey, Mrs Reta Ricketts, Mrs. Roxie Leonberger are left to mourn the loss of a good brother. He was twice married. His first wife was Miss Nora Ginger, a very prominent teacher of Hardin County and to whom he was married March 10, 1907. This union was blessed with two children, one son and one daughter, both dying at birth. His first wife died September 10, 1916, then March 29, 1919 he was married to Mrs. Izora Belt, one son, Maxie blessed this union. The widow, son, one step-daugher, Mrs. Jack Stacy of Chicago, four sisters, two brothers and numerous relatives survive. Mr. Ginger possessed many noble qualities of heart and mind as to enrich the lives of with whom he associated, and which made for him friends by the score. He thoroughly believed and lived the life as exem- plified by the "Golden Rule" He had a sense of loyalty to his frineds, keenly expressed whenever the opportunity afforded. He was frank, open minded with intense convic- tions of heart and spoke firmly when need be, but without offence to those who did not share his views. He was a good neighbor, a kind and indulging father, and ideal husband and a citizen respected by all whose pleasure it was to know him. It was, my good fortune to know him quite well because of his marriage to a very close friend of mine. I was in his home many times and always found him congenial and deeply interested in those things that meant good for community service and better citizenship. In fact he was a gentleman of the highest type of manhood. Beautiful and touching funeral services were held Tuesday, March 4, 1928 at the First Baptist Church of Peters Creek, Illinois with Rev. J. R. Patlmer officiating, who in scrip- tural language portrayed the resurrection of life and the blessings attached to those who obey the gospel. The body of the dear friend was then conveyed to the Peters Creek Cemetery and buried beside his first wife and babies to rest in peace until Jesus calls. May the Great Ruler who doeth all things well exercise the same, kind generous disposition whose destiny of our departed friend's spiritual welfare as did our friend in dealing with his fellowmen is our sincere wish.
