Obituary for Helen McConnell, Hardin County, IL Mrs. Helen Beavers McConnell, a sister of former Co. Judge Beavers of this place, and a widow of the late Hugh McConnell, well known former resident of this place, passed away at her home at Fords Ferry KY. last Thursday morning. Her death was directly caused by a broken hip which she suffered about two weeks ago. The death was indirectly caused by her old age and the fact that she had been an invalid for the past six years. She was born and reared in Hardin County and was past 88 years of age at the time of her death. She is survived by three daughters namely: Mrs. Alma Dowdy and Mrs. Mary Yeakey of Fords Ferry; Mrs Zoa Ledbetter of Elizabethtown and one son Richard, who operates the Elizabethtown ferry. Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon and interment was made at Dunn Springs Cemetery. Mrs McConnell has been a life long member of the Christian Church.
