Obituary for Joseph Blaine Hardin County, Illinois OBITUARY Joseph H. (Joe) blaine aged 71, of Cave-in-rock, spanish american War Veteran, died from loss of blood following an automobile accident on road #146 just beyone the Hardin County line in Pope County, Monday night. Funeral services were in charge of rose Funeral Home and were held yesterday afternoon in the Cave-in-Rock High School gym. The american Legion gave Mr. Baline a military service. He was in the Spanish american War 11 months from June 1898 until May 1899. Mr. Blaine was born near Repton, KY. He is survived by his widoe Phoebe (Patton) Blaine, one son Galen, member of the faculty of Rosiclare High School, but resident of Cave-in-rock, two daughters, Mrs William Riggs, member of the faculty of Cave-in-Rock High School; Mrs W.C. Herrin, Cave-in-rock, postmistress; four grandchildren and two great grand children. 1 half sister Mrs Nancy Creamer, Rosiclare, 3 half brothers; Walter, Arthur and Franke Singleton, Salem, KY.
