Obituary of John F Hines, Hardin County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 1999 Wanda Reed Name of Deceased: John F Hines Name of Newspaper: Hardin County Independent Date of Newspaper: 27 November 1930 John F. Hines was born September 27, 1844 and died November 11, 1930 after a lingering illness of the last few years. He leaves to mourn his death five sons and one daughter, John, Allen, and George all of Murphysboro; Walter of Elizabethtown; Marion and Mrs Lula Jackson of Rosiclare. His wife preceded him to the Spirit Land about six years ago and he said he was ready and willing to go and meet his friends and loved ones that have gone on before. He was a hard working old man, and for many years when he lived in Elizabethtown he earned most of his living sawing wood. His daughter Mrs. Lula Jackson of Rosiclare, very kindly took him to her home and kept him until he died at the advanced age of 86 years one month and 14 days. While living here in Elizabethtown he was a quiet inoffensive old man, harmed nobody and had many friends. Peace to his ashes, and sincere sympathy for his children and especially his daugher Mrs. Lula Jackson, Rosiclare. Written by an Elizabethtown friend. ------------------------------------------------------------------ USGENWEB NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organiza- tions or persons.
