Obituary of Mable E Weatherington JOINER, Hardin County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 1999 Wanda Reed Name of Deceased: Mable E Weatherington JOINER Name of Newspaper: Hardin County Independent Date of Newspaper: 7 November 1929 Mable E., oldest daughter or Harty and Elva Weatherington was born August 22, 1903 in Pope County near Eichorn. She spent her childhood days near the place of birth, attended school at Corinth. Being of a kind disposition she was loved by her teachers and schoolmates. Always obedient to her parents and aged grandparents. Had a kind word and a smile for all her friends which were many. She was married to Dr. J. T. Joiner August 10, 1924. To this union a darling daughter was born and died April 21, 1928. After the loss of her sweet babe and on her sick bed she gave her heart to God. Told her loved ones many times she was prepared to meet her God in peace and go live with her darling babe. She leaves to mourn her departure her loving parents, four sisters and two brothers, namely: Mrs Alice Floyd of Eichorn, Mrs Lula Joiner of Hickstown, Mrs Muriel Gullett of Golconda, Miss Stella, masters Harrison and Herbert Weatherington at home, two aged grandparents, James Vandergrift of Marion, IL, and Mrs Mollie Weatherington of Rosiclare and a number of uncles and aunts and cousins too numerous to mention. She will be sadly missed in the home of her loved ones as she always brought a ray of sunshine wherever she went. She will be missed by her loving neighbors in town where she made her home. She met death October 30, 1929 in her home.
