JOHN T. HOLLOWAY BURIED SUNDAY. HAD COME FROM EAST MOLINE TO PARENTS HOME , ILL WITH HEART AILMENT Suffering for two months with a heart ailment, John T. Holloway, 55, died early Saturday morning at the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs.Howard McDowell, Cave-in-Rock. A native of Hardin County, Mr. Holloway was the son of Thomas Holloway of Cave-in-Rock and the late Miley Holloway. For the past 17 years he has been an employee at the state hospital at East Moline. Due to ill health, he had been granted three months leave of absence, arriving at the McDowell home a few days before Christmas. Within the next few days he became unable to leave his bed. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Meyer, East Moline, one grandson and one grand daughter, his father and step-mother Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Holloway, Cave-in-Rock, three sisters, Mrs. Howard McDowell and Mrs Charles Austin, Cave-in-Rock, and Mrs Mattie Oldham, Shawneetown and two brothers Millard Holloway, Shawneetown and Lester, Cave-in-Rock. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Cave-in-Rock Baptist Church, his nephew, Arthur Austin being in charge assisted by Rev. Lawrence DaVault. Masonic funeral rites were included in the service. Interment followed in the Masonic Cemetery.
