Manerva Lackey, daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Hughes was born at 
Peters Creek in Hardin County, November 28, 1860.  She died at her home near 
Cave-in-Rock at the age of 82 years 11 months  and 21 days, living her whole 
life in the county of her birth.
On Feb. 4, 1877, she was united in marrage to William Lackey.  To this nion 
were born 4 children.  One son died in infancy, a 2nd son, Charley died 
February 2, 193.  Her husband also preceded her in death.
There are left to mourn  her death, a daughter, Mrs. Neal Northern of Cave-in-
Rock, one son Robert Franklin Lackey of Oklahoma, one grandson, Robert Dean 
Northern of Cave in Rock several other relaives and many friends.
In early life Mrs. Lackey professed faith in Our Lord at the Mt. Zion Bapist 
Church near Cave-in-Rock.
