Obituary of Miss Lelia May COWSERT, Hardin County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 1999 Wanda Reed Name of Deceased: Miss Lelia May COWSERT Name of Newspaper: Hardin County Independent Date of Newspaper: 1 Aug 1929 Miss Lelia May Cowsert beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Cowsert, was born November 26, 1915; departed this life July 19, 1929, being at the time of her death 13 years, 7 months and 20 days old. Lelia May was a sweet, kind hearted girl, an obedient daughter and a loving sister. Lelia May was loved by everyone who knew her. She always had a kind word and a loving smile whenever she met you. She was a true Christian for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Lelia May told them on her death bed that she was prepared and ready to go, so we know that Lelia May is not dead but sleepeth in a sweet sleep and in the resurrection morn she shall go to her bright mansion above and be with Jesus forever more. She leaves to mourn her departure a father, mother, three sisters and a host of relatives and friends. Bro. Rector conducted a nice funeral service and the remains were laid to rest in the Cowsert Cemetery to await for Jesus to return for His own and take them home to Glory. Leila May cannot come to us but we can go to her if we will follow in her foot- steps.
