Obituary of Alfred LOWE, Hardin County, Illinois 6 February 1999 Copyright 1999 Wanda Reed Name of Deceased: Alfred LOWE Name of Newspaper: Hardin County Independent Date of Newspaper: 22 April 1920 Obituary: Alfred Lowe was born 1 March 1893 and died September 29, 1919 age 26 years, 6 months and 28 days. Alfred was a good, obedient boy and always a kind and tender-hearted with the ones at home. He professed faith in Christ about three years ago and although circumstances prevented him from taking active part in the church work, he never departed from that faith. He possibly did not live as constant as one who had the privelege and oppertunity of attending the places of worship regularly and he possibly wavered somewhat. He was liked and trusted by all who knew him and with all whom he had ever had any dealings. He was taken to his bed one year ago last October, with what the Dr. called enlargement of the spleen, which at times had given him trouble for several months. He was taken to the hospital at Carbondale, Ill. where he remained three weeks and recovered so far as to be able to assist in putting out a crop. One week before his death, he was taken to the hospital at Evansville, Ind. and grew weaker and weaker until he died on Monday. He wanted to live long enough to be brought home to see his babies. He leaves father, mother, three brothers, four sisters, his grandmother, on his father's side, who is 84 years old and the only grandparent, a wife and two little girls besides a host of other relatives and friends. ------------------------------------------------------------------ USGENWEB NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organiza- tions or persons.
