Obituary of Martha A Lievers, Hardin County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 2000 Wanda Reed Ill but a few days, pneumonia caused the death of Mrs. Martha A. Lievers, age 75, at the home ofher son, Charles Lievers of Rosiclare on Saturday. The funeral for her was to be held in the Methodist Church this afternoon with Rev. Paul Ragsdale officiating. Burial was to be in Williams Cemetery. The funeral first scheduled for Tuesday was postponed awaiting the arrival of her grandson from the state of Washington. Mrs. Lievers was the daughter of J.B. and Lyda Cowsert and was born in Hardin County, October 17, 1888. They lived in New Castle, KY for a year and moved back to Hardin County where they made their home until their deaths. Her husband died February 28, 1905. Surviving Mrs. Lievers are their one daughter and four sons, Mrs. Roy Lamar, Adrain and Charles Lievers of Rosiclare, Eddie Lievers of Ebensburg, Pa. and Druie Lievers of Harrisburg; three sisters, Alice Cowsert of Russellville, KY and Jennie Jones and Anna Moore of Golconda.
