Obituary for Mayme Alice Turner, Hardin County, Illinois The death angels visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Turner last Sunday evening September 12th. about 11 o'clock and took from them their only daughter Mayme. The subject of this sketch, Miss Mayme Alice Turner was born in Hardin County on their farm near Karbers Ridge 17 april 1903 and departed this life September 12th. 1915, age 12 years, four months and twenty six days. She leaves a kind mother and father, three brothers a grand father and host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. Weep not after dear Mayme for your loss is her eternal gain.She was taken with a severe attack of typhoid fever August 31st. and was sick for 13 days. It was sad for the family to depart from her for she was the flower of their home and had a lovely disposition and a word of kindness for everyone. She was loved by her school-mates and friends who knew her. She was just in the bloom of life and a picture of health when our great Savior called her from us. The day following her remains were taken to Pleasant Hill Cemetery to await the resurrection morning. Weep not dear mama, papa, brothers and grandfather for little Mayme is gone only a short time.
