N. Milligan was born October 14, 1859 and died at his home in Hardin Co. IL., Mar. 26th. 1923, being 63 years, 5 months and 12 days old. Mr. Milligan was married to Evelyn Parkam when he was about 20 years of age. To the happy union were born nine children, 6 girls and 3 boys; all these children are surviving but two boys who died in infancy. After a happy life of some 30 years his wife, Evelyn was called to meet her Savior, leaving her husband and seven children to mourn her death. On April 5th. 1913 he was again united in marriage to Elizabeth Banks who survives her husband. Mr. Milligan has been a Christian for some time, but we well know that for the past year he has shown by his daily walk and deeds he lived a faithful Christain life both by precept and example. His last words were not to grieve after him for he was going to rest. Mr. Milligan leaves to mourn his loss a wife and companion, seven children, 6 girls and one boy. The girls are: Cora Stuby, Myrtle Harrison, Gertrude Ledbetter, Bertha Fisher, and Maggie Nooks of Harrisburg and Maude Partain of Detroit, MI. Also Ila, who is in the service of his country somewhere in the Pacific Islands. He also leaves a host of relatives and friends. We feel we have lost one of our best citizens and fathers for he was a true friend and was loved by all who knew him.
