Obituary Marshall N. Miller, son of Hew and Sarah Miller, was born 2 May 1858 and was raised on a farm near Sparks Hill, Hardin County, Illinois, where many friends and relatives live to this day and who mourn his loss. Brother Miller was respected by all. In 1882, he was married to Miss Mary Ginger, the oldest daughter of Arch and Pollie Ginger. To this union were born three boys who still live. On May the 14th., he was seized with pneumonia of which he died 21 May 1905 being 48 years and 19 days old. He was a member of Karber's Ridge Lodge of IOOF in good standing and was buried by that order, the body first being taken to the Grossville Presbyterian church where the funeral was conducted by Elder E.S. Tinsley in the presence of the largest concourse of people the writer has ever senn in a long time. In the death of Brother Miller, the country has lost one of its best citizens, truthful, honest and ever-ready to help those in need. What more can I say? The wife has lost her dear compaion and best friend, the children a kind affectionate father Elder E.S.
