Obituary for Mary Oxford Hardin County, Illinois Mrs. Mary "Mollie" Oxford Died on Saturday, December 24, 1887, Mrs. Mollie Oxford, after a long and painful illness, of consumption. Deceased was born in Campbell Co., KY. about 30 years ago, where she grew to woman hood and was married to a man by the name of Harper by whom she had one child, and getting divorced from him she came to this County about ten years ago, and was soon afterward married to S.C. Oxford by whom she had three children, all boys. She has been a consistent and orderly walking memeber of the Baptist Church for several years, was a devoted and loving wife, an affectioate and kind hearted mother, and is now enjoying, we trust and believe whatever of peace and happines that await the good, the true and the upright in heart. She leaves four little children, a husband and several relatives and friends to mourn her untimely death.
