Mary E. Page, daughter of the late John and Harriet Page, was born at Rock Creek, Hardin County. Apr. 14, 1866 and died 6 June 1935 age 69 years 1 month and 22 days. She was baptised at the Rock Creek General Baptist church in the early part of the year 1888. She was faithful to her church as long as her health permitted. She was united in marriage to Charles Vinyard on the 13th. day of Feb. 1887. To the union were born six children: Hosea and Edward, now of Oklahome City, Nat of Troy, IL., India Birch of Rosiclare and Howard who was killed in France during the World War, and Bessie Edwards who died in December of 1925. Her husband died Feb. 23, 1926. Besides these, she has one sister, Mrs Maggie Hubbard, of Elgin, Il., and one half brother, Walter Page of Rock Creek, two brothers Adele of East Alton and Hester of Chicago. Also six grandchildren and a host of friends and other relatives who mourn her departure.
