Obituary for Ora Hale, Hardin County, Illinois Alike from the populous city and from the lonely glen, from the mansion of luxery, and from the hovel of poverty, death calls forth his victims to their appointed doom. No one may hope to escape. From the cradle to the grave the grim monster follows our foot steps with stealthy but steady stride. On Monday August 23, he visited the home of Tom Hale and wife and took from them their loving little son, Ora. He was born Decemter 9, 1910 being four years eight months and fourteen days old. He was the picture of health, but that dreaded disease typhoid fever, overcame him after a period of two weeks illness. Medical skill, nurses and indomitable fortitude could not stay the hand of death. He leaves parents and one brother besides other relatives and friends to mourn his loss. His remains were interred in the cemetery at Plesant Hill after a brief but impressive ceremony conducted by Rev. W.G. Wigham. Dear parents your loss is hard to sustain. But a light has been planted in heaven's window to guide you safely through, and the joy of again meeting dear Ora will drown all sorrow. So look to him who doeth all things well.
