Obituary of Winfred OXFORD, Hardin County, Illinois Copyright 1999 Wanda Reed Name of Deceased: Winfred Oxford Name of Newspaper: Hardin County Independent Date of Newspaper: 27 June 1987 Obituary: Winfred Oxford, 89, of Rosiclare, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday June 16, 1987 in the Hardin County General Hospital in Rosiclare. He was a retired farmer and was born on Sept. 7, 1897 in Hardin County, to the late Elihu and Emma (Dutton) Oxford. His wife Pearl (Browning) Oxford, preceded him in death on March 3, 1963 and he later married the former Laura B. Cullum, who survives. Mr. Oxford was a member of the Stone Church at Rosiclare. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Glen Oxford of Harrisburg, Durad Oxford, of Rolling Meadows, and Morgan Oxford, of Herod; four daughters, Mary Hanson of Itasca, Betty DeVous of Harrisburg, Sadie Clark of Galatia and Helen Jones, Opelika, Ala.; two step-children, John Cullum and Audrey Schuitt, both of Rosiclare. 37 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 19 at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado, Burial was in Mt.
