He was united in marriage to Lillie Patton on 16 January 1903. To this union were born six children, five girls and one boy. Valda Mae died in infancy, Mrs Zelda Rendleman of Elizabethtown, Mrs. Ina Tite of Ozark, Mrs. Oma Winders of Golconda, and Mrs. Clyde Fae Roe of Ridgeway and William Arthur (Billy) Porter of Sparks Hill; also one sister, Mrs. Amanda Burns of Harrisburg and three brothers, Joe of Chaffe, MO., Will and Gus of Sikeston, MO., also 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He professed faith in Christ many years ago, living a consistent Christian until his death. He was a member of Mt.
