Obituary for Roxanna Ledbetter, Hardin County, Illinois Roxanna Ledbetter, daughter of the late Arch and Elizabeth Page ginger, was born at sparks Hill in Hardin County, Illinois on January 19, 1878 and after many months of suffering, entered into rest at the Eldorado nursing Home on 14 January 1958 at the age of 80 years 5 months and 25 days. She was one of the family of five children born to Mr. and Mrs. Ginger, she having had two sisters and w brothers. There were also three half brothers and one half sister all have preceded her in death except two sisters. On September 20, 1901 Roxanna ginger was united in marriage to Richard T. Ledbetter. Their life together was not lomg, as his death occurred on Dec. 15, 1924. To their union had been born one son, Selby Ledbetter, Cave-in- Rock, and two daughters, Mrs. Jewell Donithan, phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs blanche black, Sparks Hill. those of her immediate family who was left in sorrow at her passing are the above mentioned son and daughters, 10 grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs Rettie ricketts, Elizabethtown, and Mrs. Rose Leonberger, Centralia, IL. The last named being a twin sister. A large number of persons share in their sorrow as they know that iher death they have lost a loyal friend. At the age of 16 years, Mrs. Ledbetter professd faith in Christ, was baptized and befame a member of the General Baptist Church at Rock Creek. She retained her membership there until her death and was faithful in attendance until failing health prevented. As a loving and devoted mother and grand mother and as a true friend, memtories of her will linger long in the hearts of the many who loved her. Her faithfulness to the vows taken in her youth give the comforting assurance that she has only "gone before" and is now enjoying the reward promised to all those who are faithful unto death.
