VANBIBBER Name of Newspaper: Hardin County Independent Date of Newspaper: 13 April 1939 Walter W. Vanbibber, son of the late Andy and Elizabeth Vanbibber, was born March 15, 1887. Departed this life, March 30, 1939 being at the time of his death 52 years and 16 days old. He was united in marriage to Miss Nora Belford, April 7, 1907. He leaves to mourn his departure his faithful wife, Nora, one brother, Oscar, of Harrisburg, Ill., two sisters, Mrs. Hal Stacey and Mrs. Otto Hubbard of Hickstown, and many other relatives and friends. He taught school in Hardin County some 10 years. After which he entered the ministry in which he served about 5 years, but on account of ill health was forced to retire. He later entered the merchandise business at Harrisburg, IL. He later moved to Hickstown, stayed in business several years and finally purchased and moved to the August Hamp farm where he died. Walter was a good companion, a good neighbor, discommonding himself in many ways to help others, been physically handicapped for a number of years, he couldn't attend the various places of worship but continued steadfastly in the worship of God in his own home. Regardless of his physical handicaps, his intense suffering, he left it all with the Lord, bore up bravely and very seldom mentioned his condition. He, like the Apostle Paul, has fought a good fight, kept the faith finished the course and we believe he received a crown of righteousness in that great beyond. ------------------------------------------------------------------ USGENWEB NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organiza- tions or persons.
