Mrs. Womack was born near Karbers Ridge November 18, 1861, and was the daughter of George J. and Sarah Vinyard. In 1883 she was untied in marriage to Dr. J. A. Womack, who with five children of their six survive --Mrs. W.T. Warford of Eldorado, Mrs. George Hale of Wood River, Illinois, Mrs J. L. Gurard of Blythesville, Arkansas, Mrs Ted Lewis of Los Angeles, California, and Mrs. J. Earl Bramnan; a sister Mrs. Henry Frohock of near Equality and one brother George A. Vinyard of Arkansas. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodges in which she was ever active, having filled all the chairs in these organizations. Mrs. Womack has a great number of friends, who, with the family mourn her passing, for she had endeared herself to all by the gentle, kindly manner and loving motherly heart. A sincere friend, a devoted wiife and mother-no greater thing can be said of one who has been faithful to these trusts, as has the beloved Margaret Emmoline Womack, whose memory we hold in loving reverence. The remains lay in state at the family residence until Monday when the funeral was held from the Methodist church at 1:30 p.m.. Services were conducted by Rev. F. C. Stelzried, assisted by Rev. Q. E. Cohenett of Harrisburg and Rev. John A. Hill of Marion. Interment was made in Elmwood cemetery. The esteem in death which Mrs. Womack was held in the community was manifested by the large number who visited the home and the concourse of friends who attended the funeral, and also by the beautiful floral offerings.
