C. B. McCurdy of Alpha visited with T. L. Rowe's from Saturday until Monday. W. T. McWhinney and W. C. Grant went to Thornsburg, Iowa, Thursday evening to attend the funeral of their aunt, Mrs. Hugh McWhinney. Mr. McWhinney returned Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Carlson wished me to correct the statement that they gave a dancing party Friday evening, March 9. Their friends made up a surprise on them and presented them with a nice set of dishes. A very pleasant time was enjoyed by all present. Clyde L. Rowe has been sick with pleuro-pneumonia since the 20th. He is better at this writing. Clarence Lawson and Anie Rowe have the mumps. Mrs. A. L. Lowe and daughter Nellie went to Rock Island Thursday. Miss Nellie Tennant of Chicago came ***** to visit her sister Mrs. McMinn. Thomas McMinn wishes to be informed of the news and subscribes for The Times. Roy Jordan is working for J. D. Wilson. Mrs. Mary Walsh of Omaha came to see her parents Sunday morning. W. C. Grant visited his mother at Washington, Iowa, Saturday and Sunday, He reports her in good health and nicely situated in the new home she purchased last year. H. J. Love of Knox college, Galesburg is spending his vacation at home. J. K. Moore, Ed.
