"MRS. DEKEZEL IS DEAD AT 62 GENESEO -- Mrs. Ben B. DeKezel, 62, died at 4 Friday afternoon in her home in Hanna township following a lingering illness. Funeral services will be held at 9 Monday morning in St. Malachy's Catholic church with the Rev. Lyle Sheen, pastor, officiating. Rosary will be recited at 8 Sunday evening in the Myers funeral home. Mrs. DeKezel was the former Emma Boeji, daughter of Edward and Louise Watermeulen Boeji, and was born Sept. 4, 1888, in Oconto, Wis. She had lived in Henry county 50 years. She was married in November, 1909 (?), in Kewanee to Mr. DeKezel, who survives. She was a member of the Geneseo Women of the Moose and St. Malachy's Catholic church. Other survivors include four sons, Edward, Phil (Tayfield), Charles and Ben Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. Virgil VandeWoestyne and Helen DeKezel, all of Geneseo; a brother, Charles Boeji, and a sister, Mrs. Peter Isenbarth, both of Kewanee; and five grandchildren."
