PATRICK ------ Aged Woman Dies Friday At Galva; Was Native of New York Mrs. Clara Crain Patrick, a resident of Geneseo community for many years, died early Friday morning, April 26 at Galva, where she had been spending the past several months. She was aged 82 years. Clara Davis Patrick was born in New York State on March 6, 1858 and was the daughter of Nathaniel and Clarissa Satterly Davis. She attended the Geneseo schools and was married here to George Crain. For many years the Crain's resided west of Geneseo on the farm now occupied by the Maurice Gernant family. After Mr. Crain's death in 1895, Mrs. Crain went to Mena, Arkansas where she resided a few years and where she was married to William Patrick, who preceded her in death. Ten years ago Mrs. Patrick went to Argo, Illinois, where she resided with her son until coming to Geneseo and for some time made her home with her niece, Mrs. Grant Olson. Surviving are one son, Charles Crain, of Argo; one grand- daughter, Mrs. A.Z. McClain, of Houston, Texas; the niece, Mrs. Olson; a nephew, Will Davis, of Altoona, Iowa. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Myers chapel, Rev. Carlos Dunagan, pastor of the Methodist church officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Allen Ellsworth, C.M. Sette, Albert Firch, Herbert Roesner, Fred Butzer and Albert Jaquet. Those from out of town who attended the rites were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crain, of Argo; Will Davis of Altoona, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Davis and Mrs. Anna Davis of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Fuller, of Wyanet."
