Services are 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Colona. Burial is in North Cemetery, Geneseo. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Family Funeral Services, formerly Fairman Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. De Kezel was born Dec. 10, 1922, in Hanna Township, the son of Benjamin and Emma Boeji De Kezel. He farmed in the Colona and Geneseo area all his life. He was a World War II Army veteran, having served in the South Pacific with six major battle stars. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Colona. Survivors include a sister, Helen Carrico, Geneseo; a brother, Phil De Kezel, Colona; and several nieces and nephews.
