**OBITUARY:  The Daily Dispatch Newspaper, microfilm, dated 24 Nov.1969, page 
30; Moline Public Library, Moline, Rock Island County, Illinois. 
"BEN B. DEKEZEL
GENESEO -- Ben B. DeKezel, 82, retired farmer, of RR 2, Geneseo, died Saturday 
(22 Nov.1969) afternoon in his home, after a brief illness.  Services will be at 
9:30 tomorrow morning in St. Malachy's Catholic Church here.  Burial will be in 
North Cemetery.  The Rosary will be recited at 8 tonight in the Myers Funeral 
Home, here.  Friends may call this afternoon and evening at the funeral home.  
Mr. DeKezel was born in Yzendyke, Holland, the son of Bernard and Celestina 
VanDenBosche DeKezel.  He married Emma Boeji Nov. 26, 1908, in Kewanee.  She 
died Sept. 28, 1950.  He is survived by two sons, Phil (Tayfield) of Colona and 
Ben F. of Geneseo; two daughters, Mrs. Virgil VanDeWoestyne and Miss Helen 
DeKezel, both of Geneseo; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and 
two sisters, Mrs. Emma DeWilde and Mrs. Emily VanWaes, both of Rochester, N.Y.
