DeKezel, 86, of 306 N. Vail, Geneseo, died Thursday afternoon in Hammond-Henry District Hospital here. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Malachy’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Myers Funeral Home here where the rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. by the Altar and Rosary Society. A public rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Augusta Ghys was born in Oostburg, Holland. She was married to Charles L. DeKezel Aug. 15, 1912, in East Moline. He died Jan. 20, 1963. Mrs. DeKezel was an honorary member of the Altar and Rosary Society Circle 14. Surviving are a son, Edward B. of Cambridge; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Netolicky, Mrs. Wilbert VanDeWoestyne and Mrs. Darwin Johnson, all of Geneseo; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
