Hamerlinck, 39, of Orion died Friday, May 27, 2005, at home from an unexpected heart attack. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home Ltd., Orion. Burial is in Western Township Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials will be accepted by his family for a organization for deaf people. Craig was born Oct. 17, 1965, in Moline to Kenneth and Virginia Hodge Hamerlinck. He married Kim Stone in October of 1996 and later divorced. They remained the best of friends. Craig graduated in 1985 from Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville, Ill. He was employed as a painter for Hamerlinck Painting and was the owner and operator of Hamerlinck Auto Detail in Orion. Survivors (and spouses) include his parents, Kenneth and Virginia Hamerlinck, Orion; brother, Neil Hamerlinck (Beth) and Scotty Liedtke, Orion; sister, Julie Wheaton (Dennis Hart), Moline; two nieces, Ashley Wheaton and Brittnie Daily; one nephew, Nicholas Hart; maternal grandmother, Ruth Bohman, Rock Island; paternal grandmother, May Hamerlinck, Orion; and the love of his life, Kim Stone, Orion.
