**OBITUARY:  “VIRGIL VANDEWOESTYNE
    Services for Virgil E. VanDeWoestyne, 83, Geneseo, are 11 a.m. Saturday at 
the Myers Chapel of Stackhouse-Moore Funeral Home, Geneseo.  Burial is in 
Northside Cemetery, Geneseo.   Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. tonight.  Mr. 
VanDeWoestyne died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 1993, at Trinity Medical Center, West 
Campus, Rock Island.  He was born Sept. 11, 1910, in Atkinson, the son of Desire 
and Emma Rolland VanDeWoestyne.  He married Elizabeth De Kezel Feb. 7, 1937, in 
Geneseo.  He and his wife farmed in the Geneseo, Atkinson and Cambridge areas.  
He later worked as a custodian at Milliken Grade School for eight years.  He was 
a member of St. Malachy’s Catholic Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters and 
the Geneseo Rolle Bolle Club.  He enjoyed fishing and playing cards and Rolle 
Bolle.   Survivors include the widow; a son, Richard VanDeWoestyne, in 
California; a daughter-in-law, Donna Leffler, Milan, with whom the widow 
resides; two granddaughters, Danita and Shana VanDeWoestyne, both of Milan; a 
great-granddaughter, Lena Whited; a great-grandson, Cody VanDeWoestyne; a 
sister, Ann Causemaker, and a brother Walter VanDeWoestyne, both of Atkinson.”
