HENRY BRUTLAG Mrs. Brutlag, wife of Henry Brutlag one of the prominent residents of Ash Grove died at her home Sunday, April 14, of peritonitis after an illness of four weeks. An operation was performed two weeks ago but she steadily grew weaker until the end came. She was 22 years, 6 months and 26 days of age. Bertha Rehborg was born in Ash Grove near Schwer September 18, 1889. She was married to Henry Brutlag September 17, 1908, and to them two children were born who with their father survive. The children are Alma age three and Lorena ten months. Mrs. Brutlag was greatly beloved by all who knew her and her death is a sad loss to the community. Besides the husband and children her aged mother and eight brothers and three sisters survive her. She was a member of St. Paul's German Lutheran Church at Woodworth and the funeral was held Tuesday at 2 o'clock conducted by her pastor, Rev. R. Sells. Interment was at the Woodworth Cemetery. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. She was buried in her wedding dress and veil. Those attending from a distance were William, Henry, Herman and Carl Rehborg from Ocheyedan, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. John Rehborg from Lowell, Indiana, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hartman and Mrs. August Rehborg from Eagle Lake, Illinois, Mrs. Saller and Mrs. Meier from Crete, Mrs. Herman Wilke from Beecher, Illinois and Mrs. H. O.
