Delmar Krumwiede Delmar A. "Zeke" Krumwiede, 67, of Buckley died at 1 p.m, Saturday, October 29, 1994, at Gibson Community Hospital, Gibson City. Funeral services were held Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley, with the Rev. Gunnard Heikkila officiating. Burial was inSt. John's Cemetery, Buckley, with military graveside rites by Byron Hickerson American Legion Post 432 of Buckley. Ford-Baier Funearl Home, Buckley, was in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Krumwiede was born December 26, 1926 at Buckley, a son of Ferdinand P. "F.P" and Lillian Kaufmann Krumwiede. He married Lois D. Janssen on June 21, 1952, at Buckley. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, William F. Krumwiede of Buckley and Timonthy H. Krumwiede of Bensenville; three daughters, Diane L. Doyle and Donna J. Courtright, both of Melvin, and Darlene A. McCoy of Houston; six grandchildren; three brothers, Arno Krumwiede of Crescent City, Glenn Krumwiede of Buckley, andWillard Krumwiede of Clinton' and two sisters, Marvel Anderson of VanNuys, Calif., and Violet Weller of Yora Linda, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Mr. Krumwiede was a lifelong farmer in the Buckley area. He attended St. John's Lutheran School and graduated from Buckley High School in 1944. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Buckley, and had served as an elder of the church and a member of the school board. Mr. Krumwiede served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Byron Hickerson American Legion Post 432 of Buckley. He and his wife enjoyed square dancing.
