OBIT: David Curtis Briscoe David Curtis Briscoe , son of Frank B. and Mary Godfrey Briscoe, was born in Salem, Indiana, February 23, 1882 , and departed this life at Milford, December, 24, 1913, aged thirty-one years, two months and one day. He has lived near Milford for nearly ten years. He was married to Miss Lillie Dora Black, January 10, 1907 at Watseka and to this union three children were born, Katherine, Mabel and Orville, who toghether with the wife survive to mourn the loss of the loving husband and father. A father and four brothers, one sister and four half sisters also survive; his mother having died December 24, 1889, just twenty years ago of the same fatal disease. He had been a sufferer of tuberculosis for the past two years, but been confined to his bed but a few weeks. He bore his suffering bravely and everything that a loving wife and his friends could do was done to aleviate his pain. He united with the Methodist Church at Plattsburg, Indidana in 1903. The funeral services were held at the Christian Church Saturday morning at 11 o'clock, the pastor Rev. H. O. Rocks officiating. Interment at Maple Grove Cemetery.
