Frederick H Krumwiede Died at the Kankakee hospital on Thursday, December 4, (1924), Fred H. Krumwiede, aged 62 years, 8 months and 19 days. Mr. Krumwiede was sick only a little over a week. Nobody thought that his end was so near, as he attended to his business up to Saturday two weeks ago. He suffered much pain at times, and on the advise of his doector he was taken to the Kankakee hospital Wednesday, December 3, for treatment, but he passed away the next morning. Mr. Krumwiede was born in Cook county, March 15, 1862, and came with his parents to Buckley in 1870. He was married to Miss Augusta Klann in 1885. To this union two children were born, both boys. The oldest one died whn 18 years old, and Alfred, who assisted his father in the store. Mr. Krumwiede conducted a general merchandise business for 15 years, and he was liked by every one as he was pleasing and always smiling, and honest as the day is long. He farmed in Minnesota near Sherburn for many years before he started his business in Buckley. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to the church and school. He was a member of the village board for many years. He leaves to mourn besides his wife and son, four brothers and three sisters, one grandchild, beside many relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the St. John's church on Sunday, December 7, 1924, at 2 p.m. conducted by his pastor, The Rev. C. Braeunig, interment being made in the Buckley cemetery. May he rest in peace. Among those attending his funeral from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
