HARRISON, 74 Funeral services for Eunice Yvonne Harrison, 74, of Gilman were held today (Wednesday), May 3, at the Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman. Officiating was Rev. Connie Williams Moodie. Burial was at the Gilman Cemetery. Mrs. Harrison died Saturday, April 29, 2006, at 4:38 p.m. at the home of her daughter. She was born Oct 29, 1931 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, to Martin and Meda Woodard Martindale. She married William Lewis Harrison on June 1, 1948 in Cornell, Wisconsin. He died Sept 23, 2004. Survivors include three sons, David and Jan Harrison of Bourbonnais, Roger Harrison and Beck Howe of Onarga, and Scott Harrison and Valerie Roberts of Kankakee; one daughter, Sharon and Raymond Weakley of Gilman; one daughter- in-law, Karen Harrison of Gilman; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Wilson of Wild Rose, Wisconsin. Preceding her in death along with her husband are her parents, two sons Gary and Harlan Harrison; two sisters, Irene Webster and Ardeth Hanson, and one brother, Lloyd Martindale. Mrs. Harrison spent her childhood in Ladysmith and Cornell, Wisconsin. She was a waitress working at Sad Sacks, Old 66, and Hicks Plaza, all in Gilman. Mrs. Harrison moved from Wisconsin to this area in 1948. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Gilman. She enjoyed reading and animals. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the donor’s choice. Arrangement were made by Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
