MERLE HOTALING RITES HELD IN FLORIDA

Funeral services for MERLE E. HOTALING, 85, were held June 6, in the Garden of 
Grace Lutheran Church, Ormond, Florida.

Mr. Hotaling, a resident of Ormond Beach, died June 3, 2006.

He was born Feb. 5, 1921, in Danforth, the son of GEORGE & IDA MAE HOTALING.

He served in the Army Air Force in World War II.  He was the head of the 
marketing department at Western Wisconsin Technical College, LaCrosse, before 
retiring to Florida.  He enjoyed investing in the stock market and gardening.

He was preced in death by his wife of 59 years, RUTH.

Survivors include two daughters, DIANE HALL of Denver, Colorad, and JANET 
JACOBSON of West Salem, Wisconsin; one son, DAVID of Palm Coast, Florida; a 
sister, HELEN SAATHOFF of Gilman; eight grandchildren, and six great-
grandchildren.
