Obituary of Mrs. Augusta Hordikoph, Iroquois County, Illinois Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives Copyright 1999 Elaine Frigone Name of Deceased: Mrs. Augusta Hardikoph Name of Newspaper: Iroquois County Times Date of Newspaper: May 15, 1891 Obituary: Died at her home on May 5th 1891, Mrs. Augusta Hardikoph of dropsy and hasty consumption. Her death came unexpectedly to her many friends as she had been confined to her bed but a few months. During her sickness she had never been known to murmur a word of complaint. Her sunny disposition and kind words for everybody caused her to be universally loved. She leaves four orphan children to mourn her loss. Besides the children, the persons to most keenly feel the loss of a loved one are a mother, Mary Wilke Salmon, brothers and sisters. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hartman of the Lutheran Church. The remains were interred in the Lutheran burying ground Friday.
