Obituary for Harry Hilgendorf, Iroquois County Illinois MONTICELLO -- Graveside services for Harry H. Hilgendorf, 89, of Monticello will be at 11 a.m. Friday and Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign, the Rev. Allan Oman officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello. Mr. Hilgendorf died at 3 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 8, 1990) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. He was born July 9, 1901, at Buckley, a son of Henry and Louise Martens Hilgendorf. He is survived by five daughters, Helen Brown, Joan Remmers, Peggy Cafin and Geraldine Gregory, all of Monticello, and Juanita Purcell of White Heath; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, one great-grand- child, two brothers and two sisters. Mr. Hilgendorf was a retired painter for Tylac Co. and was in the National Guard in the 1920s. He attended St. John's Lutheran School, Buckley.
