Obituary for Marvin L. Krumwiede, Iroquois County, Illinois CHEBANSE -- Marvin L. Krumwiede, 68, of Chebanse, died Friday (April 30, 1993) at St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Bourbonnais. The Rev. Harvey Nicholson will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Knapp Funeral Home, Clifton, and for one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Chebanse. He was born Oct. 26, 1924 at Martinton, the son of Ernest and Ida Saathoff Krumwiede. He married the former Audrey Rasmusen at Chebanse on June 12, 1945. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Alan; one daughter, Mary Kathryn, both of Chebanse; one sister, Mildred Ennen of Loda; two brothers, Elmer Krumwiede of Colorado Springs, Colo., and O. Wayne Krumwiede of Falls Church, Va.; and two nieces and one nephew. Mr. Krumwiede, a printer, had retired from Amberg-Borem and Pease Co. in 1979. He was currently employed at the First of America Bank. He received his Associates Degree from Kankakee Community College at the age of 62. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the 32nd signal battalion. He served as past commander of the American Legion at Chebanse, was a member of the Clifton Veterans of Foreign Wars and the 32nd Signal Battalion Reunion organization.
