Obit: Richard Cowan Potomac, Ill. Richard Cowan, 67 , Alvin Farmer, died at his home at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday (Sept. 28, 1960) after a long illiness. Born May 19, 1893 , in Prairie Green Township, Milford Illinois, he was a son of John F. and Alice Ledward Cowan. He was married in 1914 to Blanche Briscoe, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Lester of Alvin Route 1; a sister, Mrs. Dolly Totheroh of Prarie Green Township, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. He was a member of the Christian Church of Alvin. The body is at the Lanham Funeral Home at Potomac wither friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Alvin Christian Church with the Rev. Paul Ziebaart officiating.
