Obituary for Ray H. Krumwiede, Iroquois County, Illinois Buckley businessman succumbs Ray H. Krumwiede, 75, a Buckley businessman and active member of the community, died Monday at 3:15 p.m. at the Paxton Community Hospital. He was vice-president of the Buckley State Bank; secretary-treasurer of the Buckley Fire Protection District, a former member of the Buckley Lions club, active member of the St. John Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Layman's League. For many years he was catcher for the Buckley Dutchc Masters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the St. John Lutheran Church, the Rev. Fred H. Stennfeld officiating. Burial will be in St. John cemetery, Buckley. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Ford-Baier Funeral Home at Buckley. Mr. Krumwiede was born August 19, 1898, at Buckley. He attended the St. John Lutheran school and Concordia Teachers college at River Forest. He spent his entire life in the Buckley community. He was married to Gertrude Bartell, October 15, 1924 at the St. John Lutheran Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Leroy of Sacramento, Cal., Loren of Phoenix, Ariz., and Lynn of Salina, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Edwin and Orlin of Buckley and Lawrence of Aurora; one sister, Mrs. Frances Steffey of Western Springs.
