George Rosenboom Claimed by Death; Funeral Wednesday George Rosenboom, 74, of Crescent City, died Sunday at 8:30 p.m. at Iroquois Hospital in Watseka where he had been a patient since March 6. He had been ill for five weeks. Born January 1, 1887 at Schirum, Germany, he was a son of Lubbe and Alma Post Rosenboom, and was married December 11 1912 at Charlotte, Ill., to Trientje Theesfeld. Surviving are his wife; three sons, John and Louis of Clifton and Elmer of Crescent City; two daughters, Mrs. Frd G. (Edna) Arnold of Elliott and Mrs. Delmar (Mary) Carter of Watseka; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Louis of Watseka, and a widowed sister, Mrs. Angeline Theesfeld of Watseka. He was preceded in death by two infant sons and a daughter, Mrs. Victor (Aline) Schuette, who died in June of 1953. Mr. Rosenboom spent his childhood in Germany and came from his native country to Charlotte, Ill., in 1906. He lived for a short time at Roberts and farmed in the Crescent City community since 1927 untl his retirement in 1944 to Crescent City. He was a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church of Crescent City and was for eight years a member of the Crescent City School Board. Friends may call at his late residence in Crescent City fro Tuesday evening and until time for the rites. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Crescent City church, with the pastor, the Rev. Robert Spenn, officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
