Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior, Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Gilman. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Downs. Burial will be at the Gilman Cemetery. Carol died at 2:09 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, following an extended illness at the Gilman Nursing Pavilion. She was born Oct. 16, 1943, at Bloomington, to Ford and Annabel Brachman Hatton. She married Robert D. “Bob” Sinn on Jan. 20, 1973 in Melvin. He died on Aug. 29, 1999. Survivors include one daughter, Teresa & (Nick) Bilotto of Gilman; one son, Robert & (Shelly Ozburn) of rural Gilman; one grandchild, three sisters, Mary & (John) Piefier of Champaign, Beverly & (Ben) Maurer of Pearl, and Sister Linda Hatton of Williams Bay, Wisconsin; mother-in-law, Gladys Sinn of Paxton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents and husband. Carol spent her childhood in the Melvin area. She attended and graduated from schools in the Melvin-Sibley area. She was a school bus driver for 25 years for the Iroquois West School district. Carol was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Gilman, where she was active as L.Y.O. sponsor, Sunday school superintendent, and on the Worship Team. She was involved in the Gilman food pantry, P.T.S.A. at Iroquois West and P.T.S.A. at Iroquois West and P. T. S.A. carnival. She also provided puppet shows for organizations and community events. She enjoyed reading and visiting with family and friends. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Arrangements were made by Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
