Salmon, 81, 645 E. Grant St., died at 5 PM Monday at the Iroquois Residence Home where he had lived for five months. For many years Mr. Salmon was a township supervisor and member of the Iroquois County Board. He was a retired farmer and moved to Watseka in 1976. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion post of Milford. He was born May 18, 1897, in Ash Grove Township to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Salmon. He was married January 20, 1920, to the former Erna Schroeder. Mr. Salmon was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Woodworth. Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Lois Redeker of San Antonio, Texas, Eunice Windhorn of Onarga, Ardena Breymeyer of Milford and Shelby Jean Townsend of Watseka; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Tillie Salmon of Woodworth. Services will be conducted at 11 AM Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Woodworth, by the Reverend Clarence Helmich. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 PM Wednesday at the Barker Funeral Home, Milford.
