     Services To Be Held For JAMES M. WILLIAMS
    
 A graveside memorail service for JAMES M. "jIM" WILLIAMS, 71, of Thawville, 
formerly of Kankakee, will be at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, at the 
Ridgeland Township Cemetery in Thawville.

    Mr. WILLIAMS died at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, at his home in 
Thawville.  He was born on July 8, 1935 in Athens, Alabama, to EDDIE L. & 
MINNIE POSEY WILLIAMS.

     Survivors include his former wife and the mother of his children, NORMA 
JEAN VadeBonCouer; six daughters, SHELLY & JEFF SCOTT of North Haledon, New 
Jersey, MELISSA & DAN ROGERS of Loda, STACY MABIS of Magnolia, LeeAnne & doug 
schmidt, janah eshleman OF tHAWVILLE & TERRI JESIOLOWSKI of Buckley; one son, 
dAVID & ALECIA WILLIAMS of Osage Beach, Missouri; six grandchildren; five 
sisters, LOUISE SIEVERS, KREMEL DUVALL, WANDA ROWELL of Watseka, HAZEL 
KEROUAC, & KAREN PELEHOWSKI of Kankakee; one brother, JOHN WILLIAMS of 
Sheldon; and 19 nieces and nephews.

   Preceding him in death are his parents, on esister, LINDA DONEY & one 
brother, FLOYD ALLEN ROWELL.

    MR. WILLIAMS spent his youth in Fayetteville, Tennessee.  He was a veteran 
of the Navy, a Gunner's Mate 3rd class from 1954 to 1962 and served on the 
destroyer USS Rowan.  He was employed for many years at Roper in Kankakee and 
retired from Nichols-Homeshielf in Chatsworth in 1988 following a stroke.  He 
enjoyed the outdoors and helping others.   

    Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran School in Buckley.

     Arrangements were made by the Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
