Obituary for William Theesfeld, Iroquois County Illinois William Theesfeld, 80, Buckley, died at 4:30 p.m. Monday, March 26, 1984, at his home. He was born Nov. 17, 1903, at Onarga to Charles and Mary Hilgendorf Theesfeld. His first marriage was to Medora Mauritx on Jan. 29, 1928, who died May 31, 1931 in childbirth (her obituary states that she died in the morning hours of June 1) with baby Orlin. He later married Rosie Weinlader in June of 1936 (both Krumwiede and Theesfeld records say June, 1935) at Kankakee, and she died Jan. 20, 1978. Survivors include a son, Edwin of Des Plains; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Joyce) DeAtley of Loda and Mary Theesfeld of Mahomet; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Beebe of Sarasota, Fla., May Balazo of Phoenix, Ariz., and Elsie Kuhlman of Onarga; and two brothers, Theodore of Danforth and Arthur of Benton Harbor, Mich. A son, a grandson, three brothers and a sister are deceased. He was retired after serving 35 years as custodian at Buckley- Loda High School. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church at Buckley. The Rev. William Allshouse will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call between 5 and 9 p.m. Wednesday at Ford-Baier Funeral Home, Buckley.
