Mr. & Mrs. Alvin WOLFE spend Sunday in Carterville. Betty DOUGLAS has returned home after spending a week in Carterville. Harry RAINS spend Monday in St. Louis. Charles RUSSELL spend Sunday in Grand Tower. Mrs. THOMPSON spend Tuesday in Granite City. Mr. & Mrs. John SICKLER spend Sunday in St. Louis. Mrs. John ANDREWS is spending a few days in Gorham visiting Mr. & Mrs. Harold BOULTON. Mr. & Mrs. Elza YOUNGMAN spend Sunday in St. Louis visiting their son and daughter Mr. & Mrs. Clarence YOUNGMAN. Attorney and Mrs. Fred C. BIERER spend the week end in Champaign with their son, Frederick, who is a student there. They also attended the University circus where their son participated as a slack wire walker. Mrs. Clara FRIEDMAN is will at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles REIFSNIDER, of 222 South 14th Street. Mrs. MINERVA SAVITZ is ill at her home on Lucier Street. Alden BOST, who has been a patient in St. Andrew's hospital, has been removed to his home north of Murphysboro. A. L. PRATT was called to Parkersburg, West Virginia Sunday on account of the serious illness of his mother, Mrs. E. N. PRATT. Miss Julia GRAFF is ill at her home on west Pine Street. Mr. & Mrs. Will GLENN of East St. Louis, spent the week end in Murphysboro with his mother, Mrs. Mae GLENN, of South 15th Street. Mrs. Sarah STIVERS who has been seriously ill the past few days, was placed in St. Andrew's hospital Monday afternoon. Mrs. Stiver's condition is considered alarming. Claude NOBLE went to Wood River, Ill., Sunday where he will be employed. Mr. & Mrs. Ralph JOHNSON and Marion NOBLE of Mt. Carbon spent Monday with Mr. & Mrs. W. W. BAGLEY of Gartside street. Mrs. Hollie YOUNGMAN spent Monday night with her sister, Mrs. Sallie PULCHER, who is seriously ill. Mrs. Mandy COMTE has returned to her home after spending the week end in Centralia. Cecil JOHNSON returned to Granite City Monday after visiting friends and relatives here for several days. Mr. & Mrs. John FUTRELL and children have returned to their home in Hurst after spending several days in this city with relatives. Mrs. Ed BLAISE remains unimproved at the home of her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Tom REIMAN of North 22nd Street. Mr. & Mrs. H. K. HARRISON of Hurst spend Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. LEONARD SMITH of Herbert Street. Miss Helen BANTEL has returned to her home in Hurst after spending the past few days in this city the guest of Miss Helen SMITH of Herbert Street. Virgil ZOLLER, Oscar FISHER and Bobby WILLIAMS went to St. Louis Sunday to attend a ball game. Mrs. Sherman LITCHLITER of Pinney and her guests Mrs. Ralph GRAEFF and children of St. Louis spent Monday evening in the city the guests of Mr. & Mrs. Homer LITCHLITER of Herbert Street. Mrs. Henry JOHNSON of Herbert street who has been in poor health for some time is improving slowly. Mrs. Hollie YOUGNMAN spent Sunday night with her sister, Mrs. Emiel PULCHER of near Ava, who is in critical condition. Mr. & Mrs. Arthur GUALDONI returned home after spending the week end with her parentsMr. & Mrs. F. RHAMING of Route 6. Mr. & Mrs. Virgil ADAMS of Oraville spend Sunday in Murphysboro. Betty DOUGLAS, who has been visiting in Carterville, has returned home. Robert Dean COTTON is ill at home on Olive Street. Jerry RAWSON was a visitor in St. Louis Monday. Henry PIQUARD has returned to his home north of town after visiting in Carbondale. Mrs. Ellen EVANS of Pinckneyville is the visitor in Murphysboro. Miss Pauline PIQUARD was a visitor in Oraville Monday. Mr. & Mrs. C. A. WEATHERS and family of Murphysboro visited in Carterville Sunday. Miss Nannie Lee KING of Jonesboro has returned home after visiting in Murphysboro. Bert TIPPEY of DeSoto was a visitor in Murphysboro Monday. Joe DRURY was a visitor in Elkville Monday. Mrs. Julius FALASTER, who has been quite ill, is slowly improving. Miss Daisy DRY, who has been a patient at St. Andrew's hospital several weeks, is improving. Rolly WALKER returned to DuQuoin where he is employed, after spending the week end in the city. Hollie YOUNGMAN was a business visitor in Anna Tuesday. Mr. & Mrs. Dan HOLLIDAY spend Sunday in St. Louis. Mrs. Lee Lockard is able to be up and about again after being ill several months. Mr. & Mrs. George HORSEFIELD attending the funeral of Mrs. TUTHILL in Vergennes Saturday. George KOENIG was a business visitor in West Frankfort Tuesday. Mrs. Albert RIDGE and daughters, Juanita and Maude, of Salt Lake City, Utah are visiting Mrs. John WEATHERLY. William KELLEY returned to Paducah where he is employed, after spending a week end with his family. Miss Helen Iris BUD of Centralia visited friends here Sunday. Miss Louise HENLEY of Balcom spend the week end here visiting friends. Mrs. Addie WALLACE was a visitor in Anna Sunday. H. GROB was a business visitor in Carbondale Monday. Mrs. Frank ETHERTON of 1503 Edith street is seriously ill. Harlan TUCKER returned to East St. Louis where he is employed, after spending the week end with his family. Mr. & Mrs. Leo HILLER were visitors in Vergennes Monday. Mrs. Clyde PERSHBACHER is ill with tonsillitis at her home on Murphy street. Mrs. Mary TIPPETT remains seriously ill at her home on Manning street. Mr. & Mrs. Robert SHAMBLIN and children of West Frankfort were guests of her sister, Mrs. Myrtle TIPPETT Sunday. Mrs. Ida SWAAR of East St. Louis is visiting relatives and friends here. Mrs. P. SCHMELLMYER is ill at her home on Gartside street.
