C. DANIEL of Wall Street are announcing the arrival of a son, born Friday evening in St. Andrew's hospital. This is the third child in the home and the third son. Mrs. Daniel will be remembered as Miss Alice G'SELL. Mother and son are doing nicely. J. H. BEASLEY is critically ill at his home six miles north of Murphysboro. Mr. & Mrs. Sam ISOM and family visited his parents in Campbell Hill Sunday. John LESTER, who is employed in St. Louis, spend the weekdn in Murphysboro with his family. Mr. & Mrs. Henry PARRENT of Hortense street, spend Sunday in Tamms with relatives. Mrs. George PARK and son, Billie, of Dowell spend the weekend in Murphysboro with relatives. Miss Evelyn SPILLER, teacher in the Centralia schools, spent the week end in Murphysboro with relatives. Mr. & Mrs. William RISELING and daughter of Bloomington, Ill., are spending several days in Murphysboro. Miss Helen GARDNER, teacher in the Sparta schools, spent the week end in Murphysboro with her parents. Willard GARDNER, who is employed in Kokomo, Ind., spent the week end in Murphysboro with his parents. Mr. & Mrs. Ernest HENDRICKSON and daughter of East St. Louis spend the week end in Murphysboro with relatives. J. H. SWAFFORD has returned to his home in Mansfield, Ark., after visiting in Murphysboro the past month. Miss Orbis GRAEFF spend the week end with relatives west of Murphysboro. Miss VELVA REIMAN of north of Murphysboro spend the week end in Murphysboro. Mr. & Mrs. Asa DAVIS of Herrin wre visitors in Murphysboro. Mr. & Mrs. W. C. PURDY of Edith street spend the week end in East St. Louis with relatives. John SCOTT of St. Louis spent the week end in Murphysboro the guest of Mr. & Mrs. John LESTER of Wall Street. William LOOS of Hortense street, who has been seriously ill for some time, remains about the same. Miss Una Doris HUNZIKER has returned to her home in East St. Louis after visiting relatives in Murphysboro the past few days. Blair FRENCH, who has been spending the past several weeks in Murphysboro with his parents, Mr. & Mrs. W. W. FRENCH, left Sunday for Buffalo, N.Y. Mr. & Mrs. _______ BAKER and daughter Mary Elizabeth, spend Sunday in Centralia the guests of Mr. & Mrs. Norman BAKER and family. Mrs. Pete BORN, who has been a patient in St. Andrew's hospital the past several weeks, has been removed to her home near Murphysboro and is doing nicely. Charles STANTON of Elm street, is a patient in the Missouri Pacific hospital. He is recovering nicely from an appendicitis operation he underwent several days ago. Mr. & Mrs. Charles EAVES returned to their home in St. Louis Monday after spending the past several days with relatives here. Mr. Eaves is an employee of the city sanitarium of St. Louis. Mr. & Mrs. John FORD and children of Alma, Ill., spent the week end in Murphysboro. They were accompanied to Murphysboro by Mrs. Jennie BLEVENS, who has been spending the past several weeks here. The Carbondale Department A daughter was born Saturday at Holden Hospital to Mr. & Mrs. Lee RUSHING James ALEXANDER spent Sunday in Mt. Vernon. Miss Ruth FREY is spending several days in Chicago. Mrs. J. S. BURGESS was a visitor in Marion, Monday. Coy WARD, of Seminole, Okla., is the guest of Carbondale relatives and friends. Chas. HUGHES is spending a few weeks with relatives in Wakosha, Wis. Mrs. Neva KIMMEL and daughter, Wheatly, and Miss Lucy PARRISH spend Saturday in St. Louis. Miss Elizabeth MITCHELL, teacher in the Eldorado high school, spend the week end at her home here. Gilbert ENTSMINGER of East St. Louis, was the guest Sunday of his mother, Mrs. M. J. ENTSMINGER. Miss Adelaide HINES, who teaches in O'Fallon, spend the week end with her parents, Mr. & Mrs. F. B. HINES. E. K. PORTER, pharmacist at the state prison in Menard, is spending a two week's vacation at his home here. Mrs. E. C. RENDELL will return home some time this week from New York City, where she has been visiting relatives. Miss Dorothy FURR, teacherin the Centralia schools, spend the week end with her parents, Mr. & Mrs. W. A. FURR. Mr. & Mrs. George CHERRY and little son, of St. Louis, spent the week end with the former's mother, Mrs. T. L. CHERRY and family. Miss Dora BRUBAKER, teacher in the Cobden schools, spent the week end with her parents, Mr. & Mrs. A. D. BRUBAKER. Miss Edna FOX, teacher in the West Frankfort schools, spent the week end with her mother, Mrs. Abigail SULLIVAN. Miss Mabel HOPPER, who has been a patient at Holden Hospital following an appendicitis operation was removed to her home Monday. Mr. & Mrs. Chas HILL, Mrs. Emma ROBERTS, and Jesse and Edward HILL of Mt. Vernon spend Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. John PARRISH. Mr. & Mrs. Heber CROWELL and sons, Donald and Bobby, have returned to their home in Freeport after attending the funeral of Mrs. Crowell's father, E. P. MICHAELS. Mr. & Mrs. Joe HOWELL and baby, and Mr. & Mrs. Al BRINKOPF, of Cape Girardeau, and Mr. & Mrs. Luther BAYLISS, of Benton, spent Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. J. N. HOWELL. Mrs. Mary BEVIS and daughters, Mabelle and Loretta, and Mrs. C. E. HAMILTON visited relatives in Ina and Bonnie Sunday.
