Miss Jo Ann BAIRD, Rock Island, is spending the holidays with relatives here. Dean SMYSOR, Washington, D.C., is visiting his mother, Mrs. W. S. SMYSOR, this weekend. H. C. Roy PALMER left today to spend Christmas with his son, Paul PALMER, and his family at Brentwood, Mo. Mr. & Mrs. Richard BEATTIE will spend the weekend in Paducah, Ky., with Mr. & Mrs. William CARTER and children. Mr. & Mrs. Harvey McCOY, St. Louis, are visiting her parents, Mr. & Mrs. H. O. FINKELDEY, South Eighth street, this weekend. James EVANS, pharmacist student in St. Louis, is spending the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Louise EVANS, Hall street. Sgt. Jack DRUEKE arrived from overseas to spend the holidays with his mother, Mrs. Rose DRUEKE, Sixth street. Pfc. & Mrs. Leroy BOSTON, Ft. Sheridan, Ill., are here visiting relatives and friends on a ten day furlough. Eugene MARTELL, U.S. Navy, San Francisco, Calif., is spending a 15-day leave with his wife. His furlough expires Wednesday. Pfc. Harold BUCK, Geneva, Nebr., is spending a 10 day furlough with his wife and parents of South 20th street. A.M.M.C. Billy HANSON, son of Sheriff & Mrs. Tanner HANSON, has arrived to spend the holidays here. He has been serving overseas with the U.S. Navy. Glenn M. SLOAN, student at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, New York, is spending the holidays with his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Milburn SLOAN. T/5 Charles ZINK, son of Mr. & Mrs. Louis ZINK, is enjoying his first furlough since his induction into the Army three years ago. Most of this time has been spent in the Aleutians and in Alaska.
